One of the most important things when it comes to having a platform specialising in CBD, is the inclusion of strain reviews. With an in-house expert, who has lived in both Amsterdam and California, we have a real authority on the team. We know that cannabis isn’t necessarily a miracle cure for all people or for all illnesses. This is not a substance for everyone, and you have to be extremely careful which strain you choose as a novice looking for help with certain conditions, which is why thorough research and expert input play such a key role. For that reason, we cover everything from edibles to flower vapes and concentrates. The time for change is now Weed Republic was made for one simple reason: to give people access to the information they need in a readable, digestible, and accurate format. It is becoming increasingly evident that every day we’re taking significant strides towards the ultimate goal of a democratised, and safer, cannabis market. As we’ve mentioned previously, we love interacting with our community, and you can easily ask our head editor, Jamie, a question on Quora. Dr Rebecca Moore, Consultant Psychiatrist at The Medical Cannabis Clinic is on record as suggesting: “CBD can be used as one of many components or strategies to alleviate symptoms of anxiety. Other examples include exercise, sleeping for long enough, and eating well.” Aileen Bryson, policy and practice officer at the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, says “There’s evidence that it [medical marijuana] will help people with nausea and vomiting, people with epilepsy, people with chronic pain, multiple sclerosis, among a few others”. And Professor Mike Barnes, of Medical Cannabis Clinics and Maple Tree Consulting, who advises the government on drug policy, described the relaxation of cannabis laws for medical grounds in the UK as: “Nothing short of revolutionary.”

Hi. I’m David.

I am, I guess what you’d call, the ‘founder’ of Weed Republic. Though, I don’t particularly love that label. Let’s instead say that I’m a passionate advocate by nature, and an entrepreneur by accident.

I started Weed Republic in 2018 after a family member was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, and after hearing of the potential benefits of CBD and spending hours on the internet, it became very apparent to me that this often underrated plant needed to be re-appraised. This is where Weed Republic was born!

WR offers a comprehensive guide to all things CBD as we want to become your trusted source. We don’t sell anything directly which is why you can be assured it’s content & research first before we recommend anything.

Starting and growing the business has been a journey of exploration, enlightenment, passion and progress.
