5 Underrated Uses of CBD oil - You will love no3!
CBD is fast growing in popularity for a myriad of ailments like anxiety, insomnia, and chronic pain (to name a few). It has been cited to help with a host of problems and is being talked about on many platforms more and more every day. But the cannabinoid has so much more potential.

As everyone in the cannabis industry knows, the CBD market is flourishing. According to research, the CBD market will grow 700 percent between 2016 and 2022, reaching a total of around $2.1 billion in sales. So what makes CBD so popular?

CBD is a compound that is derived from the cannabis plant. It began garnering attention when stories about young children using it to treat their epilepsy, when nothing else worked, emerged. It has gathered a reputation as it does not get consumers high and, if it does not contain THC, it can be purchased online in all 50 states.

Currently, most people are using this to treat the side effects of cancer treatment, inflammatory conditions (arthritis, Crohn’s disease), psychiatric disorders (anxiety, depression, insomnia), and pain. But CBD has proven to show promise for a lot more. Here are 5 underrated uses for CBD.

1. CBD for quitting tobacco/smoking

Nicotine is one of the hardest habits to quit, about six percent of people manage to succeed each year. This is why using CBD to help quit smoking becomes such an exciting prospect.

The federal prohibition of CBD (as with cannabis in general) has made it difficult to research. However, there are some small trials looking into CBD as a treatment for cigarette addiction. A study from 2013 found that about 40 percent of smokers using CBD (in the form of an inhaler) reduced their cigarette consumption, while those who were given a placebo saw no significant change.

Another double-blind study also determined that 800mg of CBD reduced irritability caused by cigarette triggers ( like being around other smokers). One idea as to why this works is due to the anti-anxiety that CBD has, as smokers usually suffer from anxiety when they skip a few cigarettes. So, it not only works to treat the physical withdrawal symptoms like inflammation and pain but also the anxiety that comes with it.

    2. Weight management

CBD may aid weight loss in the body. While THC is considered an appetite stimulant, CBD is considered an appetite suppressant. So no, it will not give you the munchies like marijuana is stereotypically known to do, and in fact can be used to mitigate obesity in some.

The human body has a built-in endocannabinoid system. There are two cannabinoid receptors CB1 and CB2 that are present in the body, and obese people are known to have more CB1 receptors in their fatty tissue. Therefore, researchers believe that there might be a link between the activation of CB1 receptors and obesity.

CBD does not activate the CB receptors directly, instead, it influences the body’s natural cannabinoids to either block off the receptors, or to activate them. This might play a role in weight loss or other metabolic functions.

This of course, does not mean that it is a remedy to having a terrible diet. And there is still only limited research on whether CBD can help a person lose weight or help to prevent metabolic disorders.

    3. CBD for Dogs.

Cbd for dogs is fast growing in popularity, but it is still one of the most underrated uses of CBD.

Pets also have to deal with a variety of conditions, from anxiety to arthritis, that does not have enough research done into effective treatments. Pet owners are starting to find that CBD may be a solution to this.

CBD pet sales reached $13 million dollars last year and are projected to grow to $125 million by 2022. In an online survey, 44 percent of pet owners claimed that CBD worked more effectively than the usual treatments for their pets.

While there is hardly any research on cannabinoids for pets, it makes sense that it would work in cats and dogs as they too have endocannabinoid systems. So if your pet suffers from anxiety, stress, chronic pain, epilepsy, chronic inflammatory conditions like arthritis or IBD, or cancer, you might want to give it a try.

      4. CBD for Acne

Research has proven that acne is an inflammatory condition. Since CBD is known as an anti-inflammatory, it would help soothe acne-prone skin.

Acne is a condition that appears when the excess of oil, dead skin cells, and collected dirt, clog pores. When topically used, CBD oil also reduces sebum production and can prevent infections due to its antibacterial properties. It is therefore being increasingly included in face creams, soaps, and oils.

Acne is also shown to be related to stress and anxiety so CBD would work as a solution for this too as it has been proven to reduce stress.

CBD is now used in a host of beauty products, from skincare to hair care, and is being promoted by many celebrities and influencers who spoke out about the many benefits of cannabidiol.

        5. Dental Health

There have been quite a few CBD-infused dental products showing up on the market, ranging from kinds of toothpaste, toothpicks, and mouthwash. But since CBD regarding dentistry is a lesser-discussed and researched field, there is a lot left to be discovered.

Since CBD can be an alternative for pain management, it would help people with dental decay or those who undergo dental surgery. Since it is also useful for managing anxiety, it would work for those who suffer from undergoing anxiety when it comes to visiting the dentist.

Also, in addition to sodium and calcium fluoride, CBD adds another layer of protective coating to prevent further decay. This helps in protecting the enamel, which possibly prevents nerve damage and pain
