9 Pound Hammer, 9lb Hammer, or Nine Pound Hammer, is an almost pure indica strain. It is a certified dankenstein strain, meaning that it’s a cross between two or more dank strains, resulting in one hell of a dank strain. These strains are normally created for potency and flavour, and 9lb Hammer strain definitely keeps up with this tradition. You’re in for a treat if you manage to find this strain, especially if you’re a fan of considerably heavy indicas. 9lb Hammer has a very high yield, coming in at around 3-6 oz per foot squared. 9 Pound Hammer: indica or sativa?
9 Pound Hammer is an indica strain, but it does have some sativa effects as well. This bud comes from a long line of highly regarded genetics, and was created by the same breeders who brought us Deep Purple and Jesus OG. TGA Subcool Seeds are well known in the business, and they are a stamp of approval for any strain that they have created. The leaves are green and have yellow and orange hairs, which are highly sought after. The flowers also have dashes of purple inside them, which emerge fully if they’re grown properly using “shocking” methods.
9 Pound Hammer strain genetics
TGA Subcool Seeds brought together 3 already dank strains to create one monster strain. These strains are known as dankenstein. The three strains that were brought together to create 9 Pound Hammer are:
9 Pound Hammer strain THC percentage
The average indica strain has around 12% THC content. 9 Pound Hammer, on the other hand, has an average of 19%. The strongest phenotypes, or those growers who have the patience to allow their flower to grow to its full potential, can sometimes test at a whopping 23%. This is enough to knock some people off their feet, and could well produce couch lock, so be careful. 9 Pound Hammer also has a tiny CBD percentage, which boosts effects even more.
9 Pound Hammer weed price
As the seeds are available online from TGA, the price is relatively low. Although it’s a dankenstein strain, coffeeshops and dispensaries alike can easily get their hands on the seeds. The price of this strain is around $10 a gram whether you’re in Amsterdam or Los Angeles.
9 Pound Hammer strain taste
Ah, taste, arguably the most important part of a strain. If you’re looking for a fruity indica then look no further. This strain is definitely one you’ll want to be cracking the flower vaporiser out for, as the taste is just too damn good. You should definitely grind your weed up first, as this makes it even tastier inside a vape. You can expect the following taste profile from 9 Pound Hammer strain:
9 Pound Hammer strain oil, wax, shatter, edibles etc.
If you do end up using a flower vape to smoke your strains, then here’s some even better news for you: you can use the leftover plant matter (which is known as already vaped bud) to quickly and easily make exceptionally potent cannabis edibles. This may seem strange, but your already vaped bud is actually perfectly decarboxylated marijuana. Once you’ve got your bud, simply mix it with a fat or an oil and you’re good to go. If not, then you can decarboxylate your weed yourself in an oven. Just note one thing, cannabis edibles are exceptionally potent. If you find that you feel way too high, then follow this guide on how to feel less high:
You can also make concentrates from any strain you like, normally concentrate makers look for two very important characteristics of buds: taste and potency. 9lb Hammer has both, which make it a great choice for those who are wanting to make Butane Hash Oil. This is a dangerous process and isn’t recommended to do by yourself.

9 Pound Hammer General Effects
Pain Relief 100%
Stress Relief 90%
Muscle Spasms 50%
This strain is an almost pure indica; it really is considered an indica, not an indica-dominant hybrid. Indica strains are mainly praised for their calming and relaxing effects, and 9 Pound Hammer is no different. This strain will make you feel relaxed and sleepy, as well as provide some euphoric and happy effects. However, you may experience couch lock from this strain, which is undesirable for some people. Another common myth surrounding cannabis is that if you smoke weed then you should be able to fall asleep instantly. Some people can only fall asleep after a few hours, so make sure you give yourself plenty of time after toking.
9 Pound Hammer strain flowering time
Nine Pound hammer has a flowering time of 7-8 weeks.
9 Pound Hammer strain grow tips
This strain can be grown both indoors and outdoors, but only grow outdoors if you have the correct climate. This requires a semi-humid climate and a temperature of around 25 degrees celcius, every single day. This strain grows short and stubby with strong branching. You should definitely consider trimming the broad leaves at the top of the plant to allow sunlight to get to the lower buds.
9 Pound Hammer strain seeds
TGA has released the seeds on their own website, which means that you can buy the seeds directly from a reputable seller who you know has your best interests at heart.

What is the 9 Pound Hammer strain?
This hard-hitting, high-yield indica strain is very popular. It is easy to grow and tastes fantastic. Its high THC percentage and flavour make it a great choice for those who want to make waxes. It is a pure indica, but some cerebral effects should be expected. TGA Subcool Seeds made this strain from three already famous strains, making this strain a true dankenstein.
