CBG: Principal Precursor of Phytocannabinoids and Low Receptor Potency

Phytocannabinoids and Low Receptor Potency

Cannabigerol (CBG) is the principal precursor of phytocannabinoids in its acid form. Cannabigerolic acid synthase catalyzes the formation of CBGA from geranyl pyrophosphate and olivetolic acid. Cannabinoid Receptor Type 1 (CB1) and Cannabinoid Receptor Type 2 (CB2) are cannabinoid receptors that can be found in both animal and human cells, as well as other species such as insects, bacteria, fungi, plants, etc.

The Liferesearchco Cannabigerol molecule is structurally similar to THC which means it also binds to these same receptors but with less affinity than THC does. It binds to both CB1 and CB2, but is believed to be less potent than THC due to its lower affinity for the cannabinoid receptors. It is bound by the same enzyme that binds THC, namely fatty acid amidohydrolase, so it can access its receptors at a slower rate.

Although there have been numerous attempts at synthesizing CBG from other precursors, it has only been found in cannabis and some other species. Lately, novel ways have been found to synthesize CBG de novo in plants instead of waiting for the plant to produce it. Although many routes have been discovered for the synthesis of CBG, there are only a few reliable syntheses. Each route requires different starting materials and is subject to various kinds of chemical reactions. CBG is the only cannabinoid to typically produce its own precursors, and its precursor is relatively rare.

Cannabinolic acid (CBAA) is a hydroxy acid that turns into CBG when exposed to light and oxygen. It can also be synthesized in the lab by removal of a hydroxyl group from α-pinene, a precursor to many terpenes. Cannabigerol acid synthase (CBAS) is an enzyme that catalyzes the reaction of CBAA with olivetolic acid. CBAA is formed in plants by action of the enzyme CBAA synthase and is then converted to CBG.

CBAS is produced from Pinene through a reaction carried out on plant tissue and in the presence of oxygen. This reaction produces D-pinene, which then undergoes oxidation by a hydroxyl group donor. This reduces a double bond, and then the hydroxyl group is added to the molecule to form CBAA. CBG can be extracted from cannabis resin or plant material by using a solvent such as ethanol. The low solubility of CBG in non-polar solvents is one of its main disadvantages in drug development, because it is often not very efficiently extracted from plant material.

We Have The Right Rosin Extract for You: A Rich Golden Tincture

We have the right Rosin Extract for you! Our 500mg CBG extract is our moderate strength. Looking for something a little stronger? Check out our 1000mg CBG Rosin Extract. We offer 500mg of CBD or 500 mg of THC in this extract, which is perfect if you are looking to get your desired effect without overdoing it.

For anyone who suffers from chronic skin disorders, we recommend using our 500mg CBG extract on the affected area 2-3 times per day (or as needed). This helps with inflammation and can even help with scarring caused by acne lesions and other skin conditions that cause scars. Not only that, but it can also help with psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis, and many other inflammatory skin conditions.

Our 500mg CBG Rosin takes about 4-6 weeks to fully cure, but this is for extracting the purest form of all cannabinoids and terpenes. We also offer the "quick" method, which will take about 1-2 weeks from start to finish. The quality is still top notch, just not as clean as our high grade extract.

All of our products are manufactured in the USA. We do not use third party manufacturers to produce our products, so you are guaranteed a quality product every time. This crystallized extract is odorless and tasteless. If you ingest this product orally, it will not make you high and will look like sugar or salt when consumed. CBG is soluble in ethanol and insoluble in water.

All Natural: Certified Colorado Grown Hemp with Full Spectrum Properties

The word "organic" is thrown around so much these days that it's hard to know what it really means, but anyone who's ever tried to grow hemp organically will tell you: organic farming takes a lot of time, dedication, and patience. Certified Colorado Grown Hemp with Full Spectrum Properties is made entirely from plants grown without pesticides or herbicides in Colorado’s fertile soil just like we have been doing for many generations. This is a clean, natural, CBD rich hemp product that is free from synthetic ingredients or preservatives. Our farm practices are one hundred percent organic and we only use fertilizer made from local chicken manure.

The Full Spectrum properties of our Certified Colorado Grown Hemp Oil are derived from the other cannabinoids present in the hemp plant. These compounds, including cannabidiol (CBD), have all been highly researched over the last thirty years and have numerous proven benefits. When our hemp is harvested, we extract the CBD oil from the plant material using a solvent-free CO2 extraction process. CO2 extraction is considered the most effective, cleanest, and safest method of extracting CBD oil from hemp. This is important because other methods of extracting CBD or hemp oil can involve harsh chemicals like butane and hexane. These chemicals can leave chemical residue in the final product if they aren't fully removed by a purging process conducted by carefully washing the plant material with ethanol. The CO2 extraction process we use is safe for our Colorado environment and produces a high quality full spectrum CBD Hemp Oil that is free of any impurities.
