What you need to know firstBefore you jump right in and attempt to tackle the task refilling your vape cartridge, there are a few things you should know about vape pens, cartridges, and the process.
Not all vape pens and cartridges are created equal
While they may all look similar and operate in a similar way, not all pens and cartridges are the same. Some vape pens have specific types of cartridges they use, so you’ll want to research what type of cartridge your pen takes and what it will take to refill them.
Similarly, not all cartridges are the same. It’s not always possible to refill disposable vape cartridge. Sometimes, when you try to open them to refill them they just break or the only way to get them open is to break them, in which case the cartridge itself can no longer be used. Do your research before you jump into the task.
If you want to talk quality vape pens, you're not going to want to leave O2 Vapes out of the conversation. Super sleek, portable and thoughtfully designed, we highly recommend these trusty vapes!
O2 Vapes also sell cartridges separately. Most are 510 threaded, so if you already have a favourite vape, but need a new cartridge you can pick one of these up easily. Different sizes are available, though we like this one that holds 1ml of oil.
Spending some dough on a syringe to re-fill your cart will make your life a million times easier! With O2's syringes you can also safely store your oil, giving you more bang for your buck.
If you're looking for the ultimately discreet vaping experience, the O2 Decoy vaporiser is what you need. Using a pod-style cartridge, you can take the Decoy anywhere with you and no one will ever look twice!
You might not get it the first try
This process can be a bit challenging, especially with the small size of all the pieces involved. It may take you some practice to get the hang of it and it can be very frustrating. Keep practicing until you get the hang of it; once you get the hang of replacing a cartridge though the skill will stick with you!
How to refill vape cartridgeIf you’re wanting to refill e cig cartridges in order to make your cheap refillable vape pen even cheaper, it’s a pretty easy, 3-step process involving a syringe. However, if you don’t have a syringe, you can figure out how to refill vape cartridge without syringe. You simply follow this same process, but with an eyedropper instead of a syringe.
Step One: Unscrew the mouthpieceThe first thing you want to do is open the cartridge up, so you’ll need to know how to open a disposable vape pen. You can do this by twisting off the mouthpiece, which may take three or more full rotations counterclockwise to free the thread holding it in place. If you can’t get it off, the cartridge may not be able to be refilled.
Once you’ve got the mouthpiece free of the thread, remove it entirely. Be sure to set it in a safe place close by so you won’t lose it. Without it, your cartridge is totally useless.
Step Two: Fill with your oilUsing an eyedropper or a syringe, fill the cartridge with your oil. We find a syringe to be much easier with less risk of leaking products. We recommend leaving the cartridge attached to your battery to help you hold onto it better throughout this process, lowering your chance of accidents.
Be careful to not overfill your cartridge. Most cartridges are designed to hold 1 gram or 0.5 grams of oil or e-juice. Know how large your cartridges are and don’t overfill them, or you won’t be able to use them properly and you’ll be out the oil.
Step Three: Put your cartridge back together
Grab the mouthpiece from the safe place you put it in earlier and screw it back into place. You want to be sure the mouthpiece is fully in place and firmly screwed on, but you don’t want to overdo it. If you screw it on too tightly, you could break the cartridge.
This same process can also be an effective way to figure out how to get all the oil out of a vape cartridge, should you have a problem with your cartridge or need to unclog vape cartridge.
What you need to know before you try THC cartridge refill
Before you jump into refilling your cartridge, you have to first know how to tell when vape cartridge is done. You wouldn’t want to put new juice in a cartridge containing other juice. Mixing juices isn’t always the greatest idea; you don’t know how they’ll taste or affect you together. Make sure you know your vape pen cartridge is completely empty.
If you have a clog that you can’t seem to get out, you can also use this method to remove the e-juice and help you better see how to unclog a vape cartridge. You may just need to put the oil into a new cartridge altogether.
Why you should refill your vape cartridges
Have you been wondering why people want to refill disposable vape cartridges rather than just buying new ones? Knowing how to fill a vape pen with juice can help you save money. Oil is far cheaper to buy than a new cartridge and it comes in larger quantities, so you can buy in bulk.
It’s also better for the environment to refill the cartridges you already have, since it creates less waste. Rather than buying a new cartridge every time one finishes, discarding cartridge after cartridge, you can refill the one cartridge multiple times out of the same bottle of oil.

You also want to make sure that the e-juice you choose is a high-quality product, safe for inhalation. You don’t want to put anything hazardous into your body. There is plenty of research available online for the many different e-juices available on the market; use the resource you’ve been gifted with and research the product before you buy it.
