It’s a bit weird that Candyland cannabis, sometimes also known as Candyland strain, is considered an outright Sativa by some, yet is, in reality, a Sativa-dominant hybrid with a THC level of 19 -24% , because one of its parents, Granddaddy Purple, is a 75% Indica-heavy hybrid and the other, Platinum Cookies (also known as Platinum GSC) is a 50/50 hybrid – so you’d think it would be more of an indica, but those are the mysteries of plant genetics and probably why it takes a genius cultivator and celebrated breeder like Ken Estes to merge the likes of the relaxing and de-stressing indica-leaning hybrid Granddaddy Purple and blissfully mood-boosting Platinum Cookies and get the uplifting and depression-busting sativa (or sativa-like hybrid) Candyland strain! The Candyland strain marijuana strain has become vastly popular along the Californian West Coast, in Colorado, and in our home state of Michigan, and Candyland is highly celebrated, in fact it won gold at the KushCon 2012 awards in Denver, Colorado. The Candyland weed strain’s flowering period is eight to nine weeks for an indoor grow, yielding up between two and three ounces of bud per plant; whereas outdoor growers can expect a harvest with each plant producing an amazing three pounds of bud apiece!
